Our Inspiration

Joyce Adom’s journey to founding Simply Go Natural Cosmetics was born out of deeply personal experiences. After relocating to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was met with a series of health challenges that affected both her and her family. Her young son battled severe eczema and asthma, while Joyce herself struggled with postpartum weight gain and, later, received a diagnosis of alopecia areata.

As a new immigrant and mother, she faced the added challenge of not finding safe, non-toxic haircare and skincare products readily available on the retail shelves where she shopped for her family’s daily essentials. The lack of accessible, natural options highlighted a major gap in the market and ignited her determination to take action.

Out of this personal journey grew a passionate mission: to create healthier, natural alternatives to conventional products and to ensure they were not only effective but also easily accessible. With this vision, Joyce set out to place Simply Go Natural Cosmetics in local retail shops and online marketplaces, making it possible for families like hers to access safer products close to home.
